Elizabeth St. Lifer / Ride For The Living 2024

In June, we (and Steve's son Danny) are heading to Poland to participate in the Krakow JCC's annual Ride for the Living (RFL), as we explore our Jewish heritage, past and present. The JCC's RFL is a multi-day educational, spiritual and fundraising event. The day after we visit Aushwitz-Birkenau, we will bike 60 miles from the darkness of Aushwitz to the light and warmth of the Krakow JCC. 

The JCC Krakow is a truly special organization that is the center of an emerging Jewish community where you would hardly expect to find one. Among the many activities and undertakings, the JCC supports 50+ Holocaust survivors and runs a Jewish preschool. In addition, the JCC has provided humanitarian aid to over 300,000 Ukrainian refugees by giving them clothes, food, medical care and emotional support.
