About

We are excited to be part of a group from Westchester Jewish Center and Westchester County who will participate together in a deeply meaningful event, the "Ride for The Living" in Krakow, Poland. This 60-mile bike ride, which starts at the historical site of Auschwitz and concludes at the vibrant JCC Krakow, is not just a physical endeavor but a poignant journey that bridges the tragic past with a hopeful future. The ride serves as a solemn remembrance of the Holocaust's atrocities while simultaneously celebrating the resilience and revival of Jewish life in Poland today. It underscores the importance of remembering history, honoring the lives lost, and supporting the Jewish community's flourishing in a country that once witnessed unimaginable horror.

This significant event coincides with the Jewish Cultural Festival in Krakow with music, art, film and educational speakers. This festival, along with the Ride for The Living, highlights the remarkable resurgence of Jewish culture in Poland, turning a place of past sorrow into a scene of contemporary joy and community. By participating in this ride and supporting the cause, we contribute to the ongoing renaissance of Jewish life in Poland. We invite our friends and the broader community to join us in this mission by making a donation, helping to ensure that the light of Jewish culture continues to shine brightly in Krakow and beyond, as a testament to survival, strength, and solidarity.
